Bangladesh Textile & Garments Waste Processors & Exporters Association (BTGWPEA)

The Bangladesh Textile & Garments Waste Processors & Exporters Association (BTGWPEA) is the national trade organization representing the textile and garments waste processing and exporting industry in Bangladesh.

Established to unite processors, recyclers, exporters, and stakeholders under one platform, BTGWPEA works to promote sustainable textile waste management, encourage responsible recycling practices, and strengthen Bangladesh’s position in the global recycled textile market.

The Association serves as the collective voice of the industry by protecting the interests of its members, promoting ethical business practices, supporting technological advancement, and maintaining close collaboration with government agencies, development partners, and international buyers.

Today, Bangladesh is one of the world’s largest producers of ready-made garments, generating significant quantities of textile waste every year. Through efficient collection, processing, recycling, and export of textile waste, our members contribute to environmental sustainability, resource conservation, foreign exchange earnings, and employment generation.

BTGWPEA is committed to promoting a circular economy by transforming textile waste into valuable raw materials for domestic and international industries, reducing landfill waste and supporting global sustainability goals.
